Kid Academy is currently offering enrollment to current students and their siblings. Open enrollment will begin on February 23rd. Please contact me if you are interested in putting your student on a waiting list for either class~

Merry Christmas to all...

And to all a good night! Our last day of preK was spent with Mrs. Clause on the Polar Express! We really enjoyed our time on the train but watching our favorite movie with friends... well, that was the best way to end our semester!

We just couldn't wait... with Fall Break right around the corner, our excitement couldn't be contained!

Dd is for Dinosaur

We DIG the letter Dd! We're heading to the Riparian park at Water Ranch to learn more about dinosaurs this year! Please see the sign in table for dates and times! I will have snacks and drinks available for the students. Please bring any shovels or buckets you may have at home and lots of water... Its going to be HOT!

Aa is for Apples

This week we are learning about the letter Aa and making Apple art! We also learned what happens to an apple after its cut. Did you know there's a happy little star living inside each apple! Apples are amazing!

Back to School

What an exciting day! Each student made a special card for Mom telling her all about our first day of school! We made hand print art and read funny stories too. This is going to be a great year!

Wild and Wacky Words

You're never to old, too wacky, to wild, to pick up a book and read to a child~ Dr. Seuss Welcome back from spring break. We will be selecting a winner from our silly story spot reading contest! Send in your pictures or email them to me at kidacademy@gmail.com~

All Aboard

Who wants to ride the Polar Express? WE DO! Students came to school today in their PJs and enjoyed hearing the story from Mrs. Clause. They made snowflakes, drank hot cocoa, and enjoyed cookies too! Then we all snuggled up with pillows and blankets to watch the movie while Mrs. Clause passed out Christmas stockings~ Happy Holidays to all and to all a great winter break, see you in January!

Turkey Day Celebration

Our students have so much to be thankful for! Today we celebrated the many things that we have with a feast of delicious smoked turkey and potato chips! I hope everyone has a great holiday and travel safely!

Happy Halloween

Kid Academy students had a great time at the park! We played lots of fun games and ate yummy treats! The kids really enjoyed trick or treating and making holiday crafts. I can't believe October is already over~

Dd is for Dinosaur

We've taken our first field trip to the Arizona Museum of Natural History. The dinosaur exhibit was fun to see. The students loved the display of teeth and bones! We learned about herbivores and carnivores... and pretended we were paleontologists!

Candyland at Kid Academy

What a great week we've had learning about the letter Cc. The students entered into Candy Land where we played games and made lollipops and iced cookies! We learned the sound of the letter Cc and in such a fun way!

BACK TO SCHOOL!

Welcome to Kid Academy! I am so excited to get started with another great school year. I have emailed all of our currently enrolled families to inform you of an open house to be held on August 9th at 9:30 for my 4-5 year old Kinder Prep students and August 8th at 9:30 for my 3 year old Preschoolers! Graduation Invitation

Please look for information by the sign up table for our Graduation Night. We have been working hard on our program and we are very excited for this special occasion! I appreciate your patience and understanding the last few weeks as I recovered from surgery. I have been so blessed this year with such amazing preschool families!

Fire Station Field Trip

I am so happy that so many of you could make it out for our field trip to the Gilbert Fire Department. What a great opportunity to learn about these everyday heroes! We were able to see them in action due to the emergency call that took place just moments after we began our tour. Thank you all for your patience and understanding as we waited for them to return!

Happy Valentines Day

We have had such a great month learning about our Presidents and taking turns being the president of the day! Each student was able to make choices for the class and be a leader! We are going to celebrate Valentines Day with a party! You are welcome but not obligated to send in Valentines for the other students in our class. A list of student names was sent home last week! Next week we will be discussing Dental Health... Just in time too after all this sugar!

All Aboard... the Polar Express

We had so much fun with Mrs. Clause at our Polar Express party! We enjoyed yummy hot chocolate, and read our favorite Christmas story in our Pajamas of course! What a wonderful way to end our Semester. See you all again in 2013~
