Now Enrolling

Kid Academy is now enrolling for the 2010-2011 school year. There will be two classes available. Our Little Freshman class will be Tuesday and Thursdays from 8:45-10:45am. Our Super Seniors will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 8:45-11:15am. School will start on August 9th! If you would like to register your child now please contact me at kidacademy@gmail.com ! Welcome

I now have three wonderful preschool classes! There are spots available in both two day programs if you are interested! During our 3rd quarter we will complete our numbers and letters and begin review. In the two older classes we will discuss math concepts such as adding, subtracting, greater than and less than, and graphing. We will learn the vowels and review our consenants. We have one final field trip in the spring to the Fire Station! Thank you to all of my wonderful parents for helping to make this year such a great success!

Open House

I will be hosting an open house on Tuesday January 5th at 10am for all of my wait list students. I still have one opening in each of my 2-day classes! If you or someone you know is interested please email me! If you are on my current wait list and would like to start January 11th please come to the Open House to complete registration paperwork! New Class Enrollment

Kid Academy will be offering three classes starting in January. I currently have two spots available in the 3 year old class and three spots available in the 4 year olds class. If you are interested and would like to enroll please email kidacademy@gmail.com for forms and information!

December

We had such a fun month. Each week we focused on two Christmas books. We read "The Giving Tree" and talked about thinks we can give to those we love that wouldn't cost money. We read "The Gingerbread Baby" and made yummy cookies. We read "The Mitten" and talked about cold weather clothes. We even made a mittens and filled them with woodland creatures! We read "Snowmen At Christmas" and had our parents come watch our Holiday Program. Our last days of class we had a Polar Express party! The children came to school in their pajamas and we read the book with Mrs. Clause! We are now on Winter Break. School will begin again on January 11th.

November at Kid Academy

This month we will lean about letters J, K, L and M. We will review our numbers 9-12. Our theme for this month is Fall into Autumn and we will discuss the visual change that occur during this time of year. We will be talking about Thanksgiving and our centers and art projects will reinforce these topics! We will be making pumpkin bread and decorating scarecrows! There will be no school on November 11th and we will have Thanksgiving break from November 25th through 30th. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

October

Our theme this month is Down on the Farm. We will be taking our field trip on Friday October 2nd to Schnepf Farm. Please have payment in by Thursday October 1st to attend! We will meet at the gates at 9:30 am and from there you are welcome to enjoy the farm at your own pace! Don't forget to let your pumpkin pick out a little pumpkin before you leave!

Our fall break will be from October 5th - 16th. Enjoy your break!

We will have a Fall Festival /Halloween Party on Wednesday October 28th at 10 am at the Mountain Vista Park. All Kid Academy students and their families are welcome to attend! There will be a sign up sheet for volunteers at the sign-up desk! Thank you for your help in making this event a success!
