Let's get Started!

We are 6 weeks away from our move in date and I am eagerly anticipating the start of school! Preschool for the 2012-13 school year will begin on September 18th. I will have two preschool classes available. My 3 day class will be 2.5 hours on Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday and will be $125/month. This class will meet in the morning. My 2 day class will be 2 hours on Tuesday and Thursday and will be $95/month. They will meet in the afternoon. I apologize for not having class times available. Once I know the gilbert school schedule and calendar I will have that informatino available. I will also be posing a time and date for Open House! Once we've moved in and are set up, I will invite the preschoolers and their parents to tour my home and hear more about how we will spend our day! Kid Academy is Moving...

I regret to announce that I'll be moving over the summer. I have enjoyed my time with all of your wonderful kiddos and will miss them next year. I wish them all great success in their new adventures though and will keep in touch! If you are interested in other preschool recommendations please let me know! I will be sending a form home this week with contact information for two very wonderful teachers who use the same curriculum as Kid Academy! If you know of anyone in the Gilbert area near Higly and Elliot I will be teaching again next year in my new neighborhood!

December Book List

During the month of December each day in school will be focusing on a different Christmas book! We will be reading "There was an Old Lady who Swallowed a Bell", "Moostletoe", "The Gingerbread Baby", "Snowmen at Night", "The Mitten", "Rudolph the Red-nosed Reindeer", and "Twas the Night Before Christmas". Each day we will have an art project and centers that relate back to our book of the day! We will have a Polar Express party on December 15th and the children can come in their pajamas with a pillow or blanket! Please remember that Winter Break is from December 19th - January 6th. Welcome Back

I hope you have all enjoyed your fall break. We're going to be getting back into our routine with some harvest fun! We will be going to Superstition Springs Farm on November 22nd. Please wear closed toe shoes and dress in layers, it will be chilly in the morning but it will warm up during our hay ride! See you all there for some farm fun and ice cream!

Fall Festival

Our Fall Festival was a hit! Thank you for the parents who were able to participate in this event. We had a great time fishing for treats, playing ghostly golf, and eating cupcakes! The kids loved eating marshmallows without using their hands! Our costume parade was so much fun. For pictures of your student at the festival, please email Mrs. Crystal~

Arizona Museum of Natural History

We are going to be taking our first field trip in September! We've been learning about space and planets and there is a great space exhibit as well as the dinosaur display! Please look for sign up information on the front counter! Friends and family are welcome to attend. We will be meeting at the museum so parent involvement is mandatory!
